1.

If you live in the present,
You are a soul that has
Chosen the crest of the wave.
Hello, Fellow Crestor.
...

Oo-oh Freedom......Oo-oh Freedom.........

I'm all for freedom!
Freedom of the brain!
...

'When I am dead, my Dearest, sing no sad song for me.........'
No! That's not what I meant to say (that old poem from my youth) .......
I meant to say, When I am dead and on the other side.........
I hope I don't make a mistake, and
...

I have been such a follower
In my life
If shown a picture book, of birds, hidden
In a leafy tree-top,
...

Purple, as in flowers,
Has an after image of blue
Such that, spreading out from petunia,
One has to check,
...

Where do the butterflies hide in a storm?
What do the hummingbirds do in high winds?

And why do I ponder on victims?
...

I'm needing to write
In praise of the
Common squirrel.
...

My mother, whose rhythms were so regular
That she knew what day I'd be born,
Said I beat her by half an hour;
I was in such a hurry!
...

As a small child my father
Showed me the pretty lights of
The big city
As we drove home at night.
...

Eventually
Everyone has to
Design-a-world.
...

We voluntarily rush towards oblivion
Every night at bedtime.
We close our eyes and hope
To shoot ourselves, hurtle ourselves
...

When I consider where I came from
As a soul,
..Soul....
I never feel it's something
...

I am used to finding that edge
That slice
That escape angle
Where circumstances around me
...

Hey, Hey, brother Dylan, I wrote you a poem,

Been thinkin', 'bout your choices,
Elder brother,
...

If I were being robbed
And Robin Hood appeared
Bow drawn, and
Ran the creep away,
...

The Code is calling to my attention again,
The code of Life, that is -
I am struggling to decode.
...

In my dream, my father saw me off
On my oceanic voyage to the other side
Of the world.
...

I didn't know there was a red tulip
Planted among the Lunaria's purple?
A volunteer?
No, bulbs don't 'volunteer'.
...

Don't argue.
Change the energy.

To a chilled person on a March errand,
...

When I was a young man, there were
Trees, and wanderlust, and the roof-line.
It led me away, and I went gratefully
And thus, my life has been acted upon

The Best Poem Of Jan Freundschuh

2012

If you live in the present,
You are a soul that has
Chosen the crest of the wave.
Hello, Fellow Crestor.

If you lived in the past, you
Were once on a crest.
The crest crested and subsided,
And you may still be
Oceanic,
O my ancestors,

Unless you remounted
This cresting wave;
In which case,

How tired are you? ........and...

What do you think will happen?
