J M. Basey Poems

I wish I could find the words
That I want to say to you
I wish I had the courage
To pick up the phone
...

Why do I help you?
When it is my time you waste
Oh this pill
Leaves such a bitter taste
...

One of these days I’ll learn
Don’t mess with anybody’s feelings
Cos one day they’ll turn on me
I’m sick of being like that
...

there goes my wishes,
that keep me dreaming,
i really don't understand,
why you keep on screaming?
...

I’m here writing
My feelings onto this page
To some of you
It may cause outrage
...

The day we broke up
It's still clear as ever
And it's a heart-breaking memory
That'll stay with me forever
...

As I sit silently on my bed,
Staring through the glass,
I wish I was dead,
I stare further on through the rain,
...

Yeah, who’s going to be the last one left
Please tell me?
Who’s going to be the last one left
...

To my unborn children
To my unborn children
Just remember daddy loves you
Hope the lord’s looking after you
...

10.

Can you notice my pain?
It runs deep through my veins
Can I share it with you all?
...

I want to get to know you,
Inside and out of your mind,
Most men only want you for your body,
I want you for your imagination.
...

When I cry
I lay myself down to sleep
I pray to the lord that I don’t make that final leap
Over to the spiritual side
...

I think back to all the tears that I‘ve cried
Somewhere back in my childhood my heart must’ve died
For each day I have multiple faces
Most of the time I avoid awkward embraces
...

I know I haven’t been
The best son in the world
But by writing this
The plan is to show you
...

You’re giving him another chance
Promise after promise
Time after time
What is wrong with you?
...

You all know the feeling
The feeling of desperation
Hopefully without the aftermath
Of any kind of complication
...

17.

I’m a thoundsand miles
Away from you
A broken man
Scared of losing you
...

You mean everything to me,
More then this poem can say,
And from you're side,
I will never decide to sway.
...

It's about time I told the truth,
To put you all in the know,
About how I feel,
So here I go,
...

I'm just a normal guy,
Yet here I stand,
In a country in turmoil,
Get me out of this forsaken land.
...

The Best Poem Of J M. Basey

Forbidden Lovers

I wish I could find the words
That I want to say to you
I wish I had the courage
To pick up the phone
And call you

But if I did
What would you say to me?
Or better still
Would you even remember me?

When i think of you
A tear wells up in my eye
All those promises
We made to each other

Have just been forgotten
On the journey of forgotten souls
Floating in the sea
Towards the island of forbidden lovers
