loneliness runs into my veins

like blood rushing
like liquefied medicine
...

across the street
in this windy midnight
under the flickering yellow lamp light
...

it is tasted best
as you play around it
inside your mouth
plunging your restless
...

it entered me like diluted medicine

joined my blood
passed through all capillaries
...

halted and stopped
half way through
i stood
...

amidst the throng of people,
in the middle of the street
we met
...

i walked alone in the valley of dreams
the very heart, the realm of the realms

to which i saw our days passed by
...

trying to look fine even though you obviously are not-

then people would start,
throwing questions at you,
...

i never was a damsel in distress
nor was i kept in a high fortress
i have never chanced upon a dragon
nor ever eaten an apple with poison
...

everyone's too busy to notice
me
as i slide myself down the
corner
...
