The Best Poem Of Geofff Payne

For My Daughter

There she is a little flower
Sitting alone in a shower.
Thinking about the world around,
When there is little sound.
Locked away in her minds eye
Thoughts of what could of been makes her cry.
Then the news of strange dad is told,
And her blood runs cold.
Anger replaces where love should be,
And thoughts of hate are thrown at he.
Wondering what life has brought,
And thinking what he could of taught.
She finds her dad and speaks so low,
Wondering if he is friend or fro.
The news fills his heart to over flowing,
And the love starts up and just keeps going.
Of times lost in this short life,
Missing years that cut like a knife.
He wants to be there and get to know
All the things that make her grow.
To see her smile at the simple things around,
And be part of her wonderful surround.
To you this comes with all my love of plenty
And know that I will never go empty
For having you back in my life and mind,
Is the best thing I could wish for though human kind.
