Surrounded....Yet So Alone

All around me
The people swarm
Those I know
And those I love
But yet this loneliness I've felt inside
It still remains
I cry inside
I wish for things to be right
I wish for this eternal loneliness to go away
All of you are by my side
Yet i see no one
These blinded eyes given to me
See nothing by my sides
Though in my mind I know you're there
Always patient
Always waiting
Always hoping for me to be myself
Yet this loneliness holds me back
Making me think...
I'm surrounded...yet so alone
No one seems to understand
What I say
What I do
What I mean
I'm screaming the answer
But no one can hear
They're all around me
Their ears are clean and open
Yet they're deaf to my protests
And deaf to my voice
I'm here and they can see me
Yet I'm so invisible
They only see my shell
No one looks beneath to find the real me
And I realize...
I'm surrounded...yet so alone
