Dhruva Thapa Poems

I am waiting for the bright days to come
in my life bringing all kinds of delight
waiting in the cavern for a peek of light
hoping to get out one day from it
...

You know I am lost, Can you find me out?
in the vast ocean of human being
in the dense crowed of human feelings
I am trying to get myself, somewhere in the hills

Waiting For The Delight

I am waiting for the bright days to come
in my life bringing all kinds of delight
waiting in the cavern for a peek of light
hoping to get out one day from it
hoping to spread all limbs from it
without any obstacle, obstruction,
you believe I don’t have any obstacle
you consider I don’t have any obstruction.
As I am a Goddess to fulfill all your
dreams and desires...
So how come I have any Problem?
My day begins as a clown of the Circus,
everyone comes to see me, worship me
and of course pay homage to me
as a living Goddess “ Kumari”
Yes I am Kumari or Virgin.
But how to explain I’m not a Living Goddess
that you worship for divine consciousness
you consider me as the supreme Goddess
of this cosmos,
consist of all 'thirty-two perfections'
But I am just a kid, just a small baby
have lots of desire and love to perform childish act.
But you don’t allow me, coz for you I am living goddess
that I am not suppose to act like a earthly baby.
Do you think my body is like a banyan tree
and eyes like a holy cow?
or do I look like a deer or resemble to be a lion?
even my voice is not clear as duck that you think.
then how could you worship me as a living Goddess?
You know If you allow or If I could,
I would love to escape
and break all the obstruction that hinder me to fly.
you know it is an open cage without ply
it is a cup of sweet poison well colored
to lure every creatures of the world.
It is a swampy land built in a altar
once you plunge me in it there is no retreat
even not possible escape when you release me
even when you find a new one to replace me.
You know I have been sinking, sinking
all the time and sinking, without any hope
to escape or even for a blinking moment.
that’s not the life I was hoping to attain
but I am accepting it without any gain
but I am waiting for the bright days to come
in my life bringing all kinds of delight
with jovial part of day with vivid light
that’s why I am still waiting the delight
and would love to live a life a child’s delight.
