Debbie Kingsmill Poems

I wish we could spend some more time together,
To laugh and to talk about lifes little pleasures.

You were with me when I took my first breath,
...

I would have died without you when grief came to me.
I used your strenght to carry on when Death took me to my knees.

Death tried to keep me in pain and dispare.
...

I was angry as a child for secrets I had to keep.
You hurt me over and over even in my sleep.

The pain was unbarable the older I became.
...

I've looked in your eyes over the years.
I've seen them sparkle and I've seen your tears

I've seen your strength as you look at me,
...

I was so glad you tought me to laugh.
You showed me the way and a new path.

I was afraid to share things with you.
...

6.

We were with you when you took your last breath.
It was hard to watch your eyes close in death.

We cried and we prayed giving you to God.
...

The pain you caused is with me, almost every day.
When will I let the waters, wash it all away.

The waters not so beautiful, as the hurricane blows in.

A Mothers Love

I wish we could spend some more time together,
To laugh and to talk about lifes little pleasures.

You were with me when I took my first breath,
mom I was with you when you were laied to rest.

You gave me life and tought me to live,
when you died I had nothing moore to give.

I was in a dark hole almost like the womb,
A hole so dark and deep I was almost consumed.

Then I heard your voice one night in a dream,
You said live child deaths not what it seems.

Your love was all I expected it to be,
a mother's love speaks through eternity.
