Can you see it?
Only if you open your eyes

There’s a point in the distance
Where one focuses one’s eye
When trying to parse out
The where and the why

When I go that kingdom, high in the sky

Decorations are up
Tinsel’s on the tree

All the women out shopping

Three men die on Christmas day
And then arrive at the pearly gates
St Peter starts to turn them away
Since his records say they’re reprobates

Whenever I feel sober
And Try to write
something serious

Christmas shopping to me
is like a walk in the park
The method I use is
So easy and slick

They usually are barefoot
That they never wear shoes
They seem to like flip flops or sandals
as the footwear they choose
