A black headed gull caught acne
And died
In a lonely spot

It's a quiet world
That falls
Through
An empty shoe

Flesh is fragile
Rips with ease
Blood is a potion
That makes you weak at the knees
...

She sits in silence by the sea
And thinks about what might have been
She sees the waves crash to the shore
And wishes she was one of them
...

We danced round the fire
And got touched by the burning embers
The flames took us higher
To somewhere I can't remember
...

I felt it slip though my fingers
It seared my skin yet I felt no pain
And, as it fell to the floor
I heard it groan like a wounded animal
