Daniel Martinez, J.D. Poems
A DEAD RECKONING A ready heart, a passion so strong For thy inner soul can never be wrong
Why Have You Abandoned Me
O’ Jesus why have you abandoned me? Years of prayers have gone unanswered I wished for you to me with me My fingers cut off, my anxiety wreaks havoc
An open peril lurks beneath unwritten clouds The silhouette of danger remains in shroud Doubt riddles the mind with precision Leaving behind a trail of indecision

Steady breezes blows through thy hair
Of one of the lady’s so true and so fair
Reach out to grasp a beauty of rays
Thinking so wildly as the clouds jump and play
Reacting to sight she gestures to calm
Enlightens a path she wishes you palm
Lurking in silence the waves start to ...
