Dan Frank Poems

Shimmering in the sun's early rays
Striking intentions that lack purity
Illuminating the coward behind the lion
Acting as though there are no inhibitions
...

Sweat pours down my face
All eyes looking through me
Not being tried by a jury of my peers
Bury my face in my hands of nothing
...

When the world tilts
Where will you be?
Lying in the grass
Letting it wash over me
...

Oh love, where is thy sting-
In this, my hour most foul?
Through fields of famine and forests of fear I hath travelled
Only to be withheld of my indulgences
...

Alive and Not Well
I gave you all of me
You gave it to charity
Stripped naked before you
...

I don't know how to tell you that you didn't mean anything to me.
You never knew the real me.
I faked happiness whenever I was with you.
Everyone thought we were perfect.

Dan Frank Biography

I am 19 years old and attending Lock Haven University, majoring in secondary education. I started writing when I was in seventh grade just for fun. Other than that, my life is pretty normal. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania in a town of less than 200 people. My graduating class was 70 kids. I like tennis and ultimate frisbee. I really don't want to make this sound like a dating site but that's pretty much what happens when you tell your biography.)

Concrete Reality

Shimmering in the sun's early rays
Striking intentions that lack purity
Illuminating the coward behind the lion
Acting as though there are no inhibitions
Battling with an alter ego
Washed in self-loathing
Not wanting to continue along the same path
Looking at themself and not seeing identity
Mirroring everything in sight
Ghosts caught in the web we wove
Waiting for their wailing to stop
Grasping at straws covered in razorblades
With hands that cannot hold
Watching as my dreams slip through and disappear into the past
