Charles Orwell Poems

America
What used to be a great country, all ruined
From the Bad Lands,
The mountain ranges
...

Dedication to Robert Falcon Scott,
Who died going for his dreams.

"But take comfort in that I die in peace with the world and myself - Not afraid" -Robert Falcon Scott
...

The view was blackened wasteland,
Fine ash, some plant
Some animal
Some man
...

The coughs echo through the room
Bouncing off the walls like excited gases
The creaks of wobbly tables and screeches
Of chairs across the hard wood floor annoying the room
...

There everywhere!
In your living room
In your kitchen
In your bathroom
...

Tacky America

America
What used to be a great country, all ruined
From the Bad Lands,
The mountain ranges
The valleys
The coasts
The waterfalls
The rich woodland
Ruined by the people
And in its place
Malls
Big malls
Small malls
Mini malls
Mini marts
Superstores
One stop shops
Dollar stores
Fast food joints
All you can eat
All you can grab
Everything you will ever need

Roads spanning in every direction
North, south, east and west
Highways
Intersections
Inner states
Roads cutting through picturesque landscapes
Billboards, hiding views
Of beautiful forestry and arid landscapes
The animals sit disgusted in their fields
They had no part to play in this ambush of the land
The cutting down of tree
To make way, for
Double, triple super mega malls
And super highways
Restaurants, selling ever type of food
4 pound Burgers,
Super large chips,
platters of tacos,
cheesy spicy nacho's with three different sauces,
buckets of gressy chicken,
boxes of doughnuts,
gallons of coffee
everything is tripled, supped up, maxed out
America the land of the no class
Because ever body is middle class in America
And their biggest liberty is choice
The urban jungle of the world
The world biggest fattest power
Buy now think later
Go for the ride,
Face the consequences later
Put it on the tab
Make that a double
No triple
And a tub of tomato sauce and salsa as well
