Caroline Godwin Poems

He is blind. He lives a life without color.
wandering in the dark, not able to see.
The world is perceived differently
by the eyes closed for eternity.
...

You slice your arm, watch it bleed

this will be your last cut
...

beautiful lips tell beautiful lies,
and baby yours are flawless.
curvy hips for your hands to grab,
to pull me close with affection.
...

Surrounding her and pulling her under
The blue depths take over
Forcing her to do as told
Making her believe everything said
...

Your soft lips, your gentle caress
Your nervous hand unzips my dress.
You touch my arm delicately,
And show me much you love me

He Is Blind, But I Am Patient

He is blind. He lives a life without color.
wandering in the dark, not able to see.
The world is perceived differently
by the eyes closed for eternity.
He will never see how beautiful he is,
or how the world around him stares in awe.
He only knows the darkness
And those shadows are his flaw.
I will stay beside him though
even through his demise
I stay because I love him so,
but his blindness makes me cry.
I would give the world for him to see
see what's right in front of his eyes.
I guess i'll just have to continue to pray
and wait for him to see me.
