The pain is so unbearable since you passed away,
sorrow, my new companion, walks with me every day.
Friends and family gather round to try and ease my fears,
but it's hard to focus clearly when your eye's are full of tears.

It was frightening sit side by side, strangers all around,
in sombre mood I silently sat, staring at the ground.
I did not want to be in here, this is no place for me,
my mind played games, thinking of other places I could be.

A brief candle - both ends burning,
An endless mile, a bus wheel turning,
A friend to share a lonesome time,
A handshake and a sip of wine.

A kiss to say 'I love you'
A kiss between good friends.
A kiss to say 'i'm sorry'
A kiss to make amends.

I sat alone one long cold night, an Angel came my way,
She brought a smile, she made me laugh, with what she had to say.
Then 'come with me' she softly said, as she opened up a door,
And led me to this wonderful place I had never seen before.

and hands are never held.
When smiles are distant memories,
and hope is never felt.

Walking along the promenade, the wind blew across the sea.
I was sheltered from it's coldness by the angel accompanying me.

Smiling as we walked along kicking at the golden sand, laughing like two kids at play, holding each other's hand.
