Beaten and battered but refusing to plead
I reach deep and find the strength to stand
To my feet I rise with sword in hand

In the quiet, let the music play
Let the words be your thought
Let the melody be a lesson taught

We stay up late all through the night
Our faces lit by the computer's light
We talk about about whatever comes to mind
We talk on whatever subject we find

We talk and chat but you're too sad
To see that there's some out there who'd see you glad
You don't see that some do care
You're too busy complaining how life ain't fair

If you only knew the rage inside
If you saw the things I try to hide
You'd think me different then you do
You'd see that I'm human too

There are days I feel so low
Hit by Depression's blow
He hits me hard, hits me good
Hits me harder than others could

Some days my mind wanders here and there
It goes to places I cannot bear
It starts off good with thoughts of food
But as the day goes by my thoughts get crude
