Today, our dad beloved had passed away,
Two dozen years ago from earth this day
–A gifted man who etched in gold his stay,
For us to follow life-long and to pray!
...
Two years have passed away
Since you left us mother dear;
We can't forget that fateful day
Before which you were so near!
...
More years have fled away so fast;
Much time has sped into the past;
Affection, love have stood steadfast;
The world looks small although so vast.
...
Full seventeen years have rolled off now
Since marriage; only God knows ‘how? ’
We may have had our years of strife;
But on the whole, ‘twas nice a life!
...
Two dozen years elapsed by stealth;
May be, we couldn't do much;
Our marriage was mere sacrifice;
God gave His magic touch.
...
May love of God that joined you together
In Holy Matrimony keep
You healthy, wealthy, pious and wise!
...
United were two hearts,
Before one, living God,
As husband and his wife,
For rest of earthly life.
...
Oh what a lovely dad we had!
-An honest, sincere, man;
Role-model to many a dad;
Forget him, nev'r we can.
...
Another Wedding day has come,
With you both live through Providence!
Oh, what a day of happiness -
God's mercy bountiful is upon you!
...
Nineteen years of married life,
Despite many kinds of strife,
And problems almost so rife –
Yet, happy husband and his wife!
...
It is your marriage anniversary-
The day two hearts were blessed as man and wife
In Church: before the Lord, you did marry,
With pledge to love and share each other’s strife!
...
Like a phoenix from the ash:
Twin towers from rubble
Should rise back to glory,
Despite attacks gory!
...
This day, my mother died, two years ago;
It was not shocking as she was too old;
Yet, we could not get over her demise;
Her life and death were holy on the whole!
...
God blessed a man, woman, as husband, wife!
This marriage holy stood the tests of time;
The bond was strange but love prevailed in life;
It stayed steadfast despite inclement clime.

The day, we know this land is ours, our own;
The day we say all Indians are brethren;
The day we love our motherland, more than our lives;
...
You gave us birth that made us proud
You made us proud by your great lives
You gave your lives to rear us well
You kept us well more than you could
...
The world may tell so many things but God
United you as husband, wife on earth -
A bond divine although it may look odd,
Yet makes your lives so meaningful since birth.
...
We miss our elder sister much;
She sang and danced with fairy touch;
Aquarian, she lived quite well
And stayed a spinster and a belle.
...
She suffered silently for sake of Christ;
She slogged with smiles upon her face for all;
She kept her cheer and did her chores with love;
Rheumatic heart was boon to her and died.
...
When born, he came to earth with nothingness;
Against dishonesty, he always fought;
All life, he chose the path of righteousness;
He got his limelight, though he never sought.
...
This day, you passed away to world of dead,
And seven years have sped off upon earth;
So lucky you were never ridden-bed;
God blessed your pot of clay from birth, with mirth!
...
Two bodies, minds, two hearts and souls,
A quarter century ago,
God joined together for life-times,
To walk His righteous road.
...
Oh, what a glorious man was Gandhiji!
He humbled self and slogged for country’s sake;
His heart was sad as Indians lived like slaves
In British rule, from which He had them freed.
...
He's gone to live with God eternally!
Our loving earthly father heavenly;
He slogged all life and lived in piety;
A versatile man of humility.
...
A marriage is a sacred bond
A man and woman make 'fore God,
To live their life-times as if one,
Avoiding sins of every kind.
...
This day, we know, you had your birth on earth
-A lovely, lucky day for all of us;
Your living memories give us intense mirth;
You turned our world of woes into mere bliss!
...
Twenty-two years have sped off fast,
And nuptial knot untied remains,
But keeps two hearts united still,
Unlike many others, we see!
...
The man God gave as husband in your life
Had died a year ago to be with God;
The memory hurts your heart akin a knife,
But grace of God can mitigate your rod.
...
The People's President, man of science;
A man with unique conscience;
He showed he was exemplary,
And left the world sans rivalry!
...
For more than half a century,
You lived as man and wife;
By grace of Jesus Lord, Mary,
You eked your earthly life.
...
What love you gave us children while alive!
The care you rendered was incomparable;
Our family was busy akin bee-hive;
Your example good was indelible!
...
Another year has gone away
Another September has come
The memories of that fateful day
Will linger on alive today!
...
A special day to think about
The glory of how days had passed;
A special day to rest at last,
The woes and doubts about life past!
...
How good a father, you were while alive!
What lucky children we happened to be!
Such happy memories, we now derive!
May God receive you in eternity!
...
Twenty one years of married life
Have rolled off rather peacefully,
Although marred by some kind of strife,
In the twenty first century!
...
Oh, what a great man, father was,
Mere words of mine can’t tell;
His death was surely, great a loss,
For mother, children, well!
...
Let’s brook no misunderstandings;
Let’s carry no ill-will;
Let’s never feel guilty too much;
Let’s walk in harmony.
