Silver Jubilee Wedding Anniversary Poem by Dr John Celes

Two bodies, minds, two hearts and souls,
A quarter century ago,
God joined together for life-times,
To walk His righteous road.

What God had joined had stood steadfast,
And continues despite hurdles;
He blessed the family with two kids,
Who are now both adults.

The road they took had ‘ups and downs’,
And trials came in clusters too;
But prayers made the journey smooth,
And success smiled always.

Their walk was not an ideal one,
And things didn’t happen as they planned;
But God ensured their secure trek,
And things are pretty fine.

And they await much better things,
To happen as scheduled by God;
But times do turn from bad to worse;
Yet, faith remains still strong!

Their earthly walk must soon finish;
But God had watched their every step;
Their greatest joy will be the Day,
When they meet in heaven.
