Sonnet: On Husband's First Death Anniversary Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: On Husband's First Death Anniversary

The man God gave as husband in your life
Had died a year ago to be with God;
The memory hurts your heart akin a knife,
But grace of God can mitigate your rod.

All have to die and turn to dust on earth
And even Jesus Christ had done the same;
Be happy but like Christ, our soul had birth
To resurrect in plan of God and game.

And all we have to do is pray each day
For souls in purgatory for their release;
This is how human beings can repay
With love for kith and kin, brethren with ease.

Let light eternal shine upon him, Lord
And may we live and cease as per thine Word!
‘May God's Will be done as per His divine ways! '
Fondly dedicated to the soul of (late) Mr. A. Alexander, Saveripalayam
On behalf of his beloved wife, children and family members
