I woke up quick I stole the moon from the sky.
I looked at my life and I wondered why,
I have been blessed with things that I have,
I'll cry from joy and people will laugh.

I woke up quick I stole the moon from the sky.
I looked at my life and I wondered why,
I have been blessed with things that I have,
I'll cry from joy and people will laugh.

I woke up slow I stole the dirt from the Earth.
People think I write about boys who get hurt.
I sat there and questioned and I wondered how,
Some lives are jokes and make no sound.

I've yet to wake up and I think you'll agree
Dreaming cost lots but nightmares are free.
So dream on dream on and you may just find,
That I was dead wrong but I'll find that in time.
