I want to tell you about
MY PEOPLE

MY PEOPLE
Are not united by a color
Nor by a single ethnicity.
We are united by our eccentricity.

MY PEOPLE
Know red as a feeling,
Not as a shade or hue,
Which is different than most of you.

MY PEOPLE
Are the children of fire!
Gift or curse as such?
Torching others with burning touch.

MY PEOPLE
Are the beautiful misfits.
Misunderstood more like it.
Nomads that never are the right fit.

MY PEOPLE
Are not, will not, be you!
You can't be! Won't be!
Your hunger is not our empty!

MY PEOPLE
Are my brothers in arms.
Warring. Call this normal.
Dressed is our battle armor formal.

MY PEOPLE
I will bleed for them!
Not for you!
Never you!

Even as we're dying off,
