Troy Anthony Poems

We are alone, those special few
Forever seeking, among the new
The days and years so slowly pass.
Forever pain will surely last.
...

I dance to the beat of a broken heart
with a mask that hides the tears beneath.
It smiles and laughs, and mocks the soul.
It reaches out, its final goal.

The Special Few

We are alone, those special few
Forever seeking, among the new
The days and years so slowly pass.
Forever pain will surely last.

And as I wait on that great day
I hear the monster softly say
come be with me oh special one
This Life was made for having fun.
And in this Sirens voice I hear
the winds of change my boat to steer
The emptiness be filled once more
with love and laughter I adore.

And then, the morning comes so soon
the sunlight fills the darkened room.
And as the light falls in its place
I see the markings on my face.
The happiness will soon decay
and then thereafter will come dismay.
For we are alone, those special few.
Forever seeking, among the new.
So until we meet again
oh Siren, will you call my name?
