Paris And Paradise Lost

Paris lost - again - but was never really his to have and to hold - nor was she...

It was a dream - a thought - against the backdrop of a reality - avoided - dismissed - yet all consuming - and destructive - as if fashioned by Set himself for the amusement of the gods.

No more for him to imagine her eyes as stars shining in the darkness of the Parisienne night as the cool breeze stroked their faces - as their Souls danced the dance of Romeo and Juliet and of Tristan and Isolde...with the same fate...

But for now and forever his heart still leaps as he remembers her beauty - her chaotic love - her chaotic but intoxicating love.

Was she a drug of addiction - he thought so - and yet he would still mainline every minute of every day if he could - such was his love...

And so like Hamlet the question...to be answered...whether 'tis nobler...

A question first asked at nine years old...been better had it been answered truly then...with ant poison in the garden shed...or through some miracle love found in the wreckage of dysfunction...rather than an anger and hurt so deep - which manifested to destroy...their paradise.

A madness...stoked by the actions of three demons...

To sleep, perchance to dream...and yet...to sleep, perchance to dream a happiness eluded for a lifetime...for a childhood...for a lifetime.

He aches to once again run his hands over her body...not to consummate any act of physical desire - but to feel the oneness of their Souls...

To kiss her moist lips...to lay in the middle of the night and rejoice in her gentle low, quite, beautiful snoring...and tease her about it...in fun with love

To discuss the conundrums of life - and have the answers to all quiz questions - with the aid of a glass of wine and Brahms or Rachmaninov or Bach or Mozart...

To find their paradise - together - again - but alas - Romeo and Juliet - Tristan and Isolde...

Paris and Paradise lost...forever.

Hamlet's question -?
