The way you tuck that toddler-sized
Stomach teasing tootsie pop in your mouth
Makes me think that you could take up
A gig in celebrity endorsement
...

Cat burglar is she when she fits into
Those black leather bottoms
Her weight fits in her skin
Like two hydrogens and one oxygen fit into an ice tray
...

Not willing to cry
Nor able to shout
Just sitting there
Looking into the golden horizon
...

Jesus knows my heart
Yet He does not pull my boy by its collar
Pushing me to do this instead
My ears have nightmares about me saying
...

If memory serves me right
An unfamiliar burn was catered to my heart
When she put one of her hands on my face
The dimples on her face’s two sides made her cheese

She was born in 1945 and it was great
She put a tattoo called hope
On people around the world
This woman knows six languages very fluently

The demon on you drips down to your toes

It causes your eyes to absorb all color
Your strength from it comes from
Warm water swishing in your belly and heart
...

Don't matter how much bread you got
Or the quantity of brains stored in yo mental pot
They got the law and social security on they side
While we scared in the rollercoaster, they enjoy the ride

The Way You

The way you tuck that toddler-sized
Stomach teasing tootsie pop in your mouth
Makes me think that you could take up
A gig in celebrity endorsement
I can imagine how your tooth
Stretches that strawberry stream of gooey
And it makes me wonder
How the roof of your mouth reacts
To the tickle coming from the explosion
Of the slimy sweetness clogged in between your gaps
When your lips and tongue caress
Tiny blocks of chocolate
I envision your pulses pumping blood
Quicker than the pops of drumsticks
While your tummy is trapped in a cycle
Of forming a C when you suck in each slice of air
And an irregular D when your mouth and nose
Give off carbon dioxide that your body has massaged
Your eyes tell the tale when candy clicks against your teeth
Your pupils ripple as they try to spread across your face
Your body converts from a hail honey to a ferocious fire
And as I watch among the crowd
The way you position yourself
I realize that my tongue envies your treats.
