i am a 18 year old boy...presently studying, doing my engineering first year in india...i love to write poems on love...i got a habit of writing poems frm 3-4 yrs ago...till last to last year that is 2012 i was writing poems in my mothertongue (marathi) but from then i started writing in english...i dont like to use heavy words. i just use simple words bt with nice meaning and my poems are appreciated here in my localite so i decided to join poemhunter.com hope you guys like reading my poems..thank you all)

Story Of A Sailor

through vast seas and oceans once a sailor sailed,
there was no water where he could have failed

but something different was destined to happen that day,
sun had disappeared already there was not even a single ray

seeing clouds getting darker he increased his pace,
the worry of near future was clearly visible on his face

far the distance he could sense the thunderstorm coming,
for a while it seemed like a hell-calling

he was going good till there came a huge tide,
looked like storm was in no mood to take his side

suddenly he fell in water, away from him his ship laid
he was brave enough but that was the time when all his guts shed

there he was caught in the brutal tides,
frightening him all the way were the ruthless skies

yet he escaped gathering all his courage and willpower aside,
defeating one of the worst curse was really a thing of pride
