The Train

Moving with a hushing sound
Deafening through a waiting crowd
Swaying on a silver line
Playing notes to a rhythmic rhyme

Signals may be green or red
On platforms, bridges or river beds
Across mountains and paddy fields
Ploughing oxen, ponds and river weeds

Children gather near window panes
Eagerly watching other moving trains
Chocolates, biscuits, fruits and cakes
Happily munching nuts and corn flakes

Parents, uncles, aunties too
With watchful eyes do enjoy to
A moving nature blissful grace
Seen on every smiling face

Making friends and acquaintance
Through the journey is lots of fun
Only to part on reaching stations
New travelers board to new destinations

The train moves on, on the silver line
And life continues on a silver lining
With hopes for a better tommorow
Overcoming today dismays and sorrow.
