I=ve woken every morning
To face the day ahead
The lines that are worn
The smile that fades fast

A Stiggy Monster is a wonderful thing,
Lots of mess and smell they bring.
Oh how they leave their clothes around,
They do it so well they should be crowned.

You make me feel worthless
I'm not what you wanted and you let me know that
...

I'll never see you use the toilet
Never see you flush with pride

I'll never hear you call my name

Steph Allen Biography

My poems mainly come from the heart, I'm not in touch with my parents or my son, but have fallen in love with someone who understands the decisions I have made and doesn't question me or rake over old ground - thats mainly where my poems come from.)

Lies

I=ve woken every morning
To face the day ahead
The lines that are worn
The smile that fades fast

My words were spoken softly
The lies were hidden well
Running through the motions
No one could ever tell

My heart was breaking rapidly
My mind screaming unheard
The empty laugh, the cold touch
My body just an used shell

My eyes would search the room
Wanting someone to notice
But the deceit was so well practised
I was fine, contented, normal

The truth is so exhilarating,
But the backs and silence are not
Decisions not just to be made, but live with
Nightmares plague me, but I won't turn back
