Was there ever anything there at all
When you said those words that made me glow?
Now you say nothing and I fall
And you just don't want to know.

How can you turn it on and off like that -
Do you understand how I feel?
Is there anything inside your heart
That is real or is it all just a circus show?

Well I know the answer and will forgive all the heartache you've dealt -
But I will never forget and you will have to cut out my tongue to silence me.
I feel the emptiness behind your eyes
As the circus leaves town once more.
