Some Might Say Poem by Justin Gildow

Some Might Say

Rating: 5.0

Some might say
Love and romance hasn't found them yet
It hasn't come their way
And they're trying to deal with that the best
they can
Across the world
Across the land
Smiling the best they can
Without being overly pessimistic
Since love is what they want most
Love is what they live for
Nothing else and nothing more

Some might say
Living in this world isn't easy
Whether by town or by city
Yet one thing always remains
The grass always seems to be green
Thanks to the magic of Mother Nature
and the rain

Some might say
The boys and men want to be handsome
The girls and women want to be beautiful
They want it their way
Everyday
Anyway they can
And they're not shy about their feelings to
want that
Not at all

Some might say
That many guys have never had girlfriends
That many girls have never had boyfriends
So they wait
And they continue to wait
Hoping that time is on their side
Hoping that it's not too late

Some might say
They anticipate the date of when the world
will end
And when something new will begin
I have no idea why
There will always be land
There will always be sky

Some might say
They wonder where their lives are going
And where they're headed
They wonder about the state of the world
And the many nations
They wonder whether they should panic
Or just relax
They wonder if they can feel and be free
For all eternity
Having a free and peaceful mind like me

The rain's coming in
And like so many times
We're ready for it
Either during the day
Or during the night
