Middle Of The Night Poem by Fernando Alvarez

Middle Of The Night

Rating: 4.0

In the middle of the night
The wolf howls, and so do I.
For the darkness that surrounds it.
In the middle of the night
The cat cries, and so do I.
Because he wants to get in the house, filled with warmth and safety.
In the middle of the night
The mice run, and so do I.
From the danger and the attacks of fear that plague its' life.
In the middle of the night
The fire burns, and so do I.
It burns the fuel fed to it, and creates danger.
In the middle of the night
The wolf howls,
The cat cries,
The mice run,
The fire burns,
And so do I.
