Hunter Poem by Tan Pratonix

Hunter

Rating: 3.5

He was walking through the jungle with a gun
When suddenly he thought he saw a pair of eyes.
He hesitated; then he ran
And climbed the tallest tree that he could find.

He thought he heard a fierce growl
Which seemed to come as from a hungry beast;
He heard the thud of paws
And chattered in his teeth.

He fired all his bullets at the ground.
He waited for a night, almost awake,
Then tired, laughing at his silly fright,
He put his hand upon a deadly snake.

Good humour. I like the way you've summed up the poem.
