Don'T Rush Poem by Modupeola Williams

Don'T Rush

Rating: 5.0

Heart be still don't rush
rush into another unfortunate crush and be broken, beaten, bruised
the but of the joke, falling for the ruse of true love
an empty chest disappointing anticipation

Heat be still don't rush
rush
You ought to know better by now
or do you enjoy the feel as you are crushed beneath the heel of broken trust and broken dreams, and broken everything in between.

Heart be still don't rush, hush
Hush
It is time to stop crying
time to stop being timid, start being bold
to stop being afraid, it is time to hold your head up high

You are not one to be won by flattery
Seduced by touch
For love is patient and is kind
All till now has been poor imitation
Do not give to all open invitation and be ridden
bridle in mouth, racing here and there

Heart be still, don't rush
For love is patient and is kind, it always protects.
