Don’t Fence Me In Poem by Marilyn Lott

Don’t Fence Me In

Rating: 1.0

I need the wide open spaces
It’s just part of who I am, you see
To get in my car and travel
Being fenced in is not for me

I have to have room to move
Visit those that I love
Be out in Mother Nature
And clear blue skies up above

Yes, I love what nature offers
The perfect evening breeze
Branches blowing softly
Through those cottonwood trees

Just let me be the person I am
To be someone else is a sin
Give me the world at my fingertips
And please, do not fence me in!
