Christmas Without You Poem by Faith Elizabeth Brigham

Christmas Without You

Rating: 5.0

this will be the first
Christmas in seventeen years
i will be without you
it hurts so bad to know you
won't be here with me

i try to think about
all the good times we had
instead of reliving your passing
for i'm sure if you could talk to me
you would tell me not to be sad

i'm not sure how i'll
make it through this other than
holding on to the hope
that we will be reunited
in the hereafter my beloved one

This poem speaks to me of that sudden change that occurs about special occassions, when you lose someone you love. It is very hard to get into the spirit. I know this from personal experience. What saves me, are my kids, I have to do it for them. I did my first Christmas shop today infact. I hope there are some kids around you this Christmas. Thanks for sharing. All the best Tai
