Can You See The Light? Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

Can you see the light in front of you; can you feel the earth underneath your feet?

Can I see your face one more time, just to capture that frame in time?
Do you feel the air moving around you, did you know that it was you that made me cry?

Which and every day I prey for you, wishing & hoping that I will see you again.

But for now I will keep on moving, on this road that is so long.

Well do you see the light in front you, every time I see that picture it brings tears to my eyes.


Every second that I was with you, I wanted to be there every step of the way.
Even when the moments were sad, I was the one that you could lean upon.

So can you see the light in front of you, can you still feel the air moving around you?

As I look up at the sky, I see your face looking down on me. That’s when I know that you are there.

Even now & then I will zone out and think about you.

Can you still see the light in front of you; you know that I will always remember you.

Sometimes I think about the memories that we had, even our connection to each other was very strong.

But can you still see the light that is slowly fading into the night.
Now I see that you have moved across the night sky.

So for now I will stare into that star, just for you.
