Black & White Poem by Andrew Rose

Black & White

Paw by paw,
a padded step,
lifes in and out between her grip,

The darkned snow creeps ever closer,
memory brings her breath down lower,
each slinking muscle begins to tense,
fear wafts as the air grows dense,

Nows the time,
yet its as though time stands still,
watching while its played a fool,

The snow explodes from a sudden heap,
snarling as if to claim a keep,
but the little goat doesnt hear a thing,
just its throat collapse,
as the world caves in,

Black and white,
death and life,
a howling wind,
covers the blood stained ice
