Black Blood Poem by Andrew Rose

Black Blood

Black blood flows freely,
down thy side,
split from the empty cavern,
in which my heart once lay

Black blood that was once red,
tainted black by,
The sorrows of Love

It flooded that cavernous place,
in which I lay,
now it free falls over the edge

If i had a life,
that would be it,
slowly ebbing away

But with my heart left my soul,
and my life was cut away

So now i lay,
in my cavernous chest,
where my heart once was,
there i sleep,
drowned in black blood...
