Just because their autocratic government do not like what they have to say
There are decent men and women in prison today
Where free speech it is muzzled no respect for human life
Murder, imprisonment and oppression in such Countries are rife
...

His hearing may not have been good or so i thought so
For he did not reply when to him i said hello
To me he did not have any words for to say
As he passed in silence without even looking my way
...

I have opposed all sorts of injustices over a period of time
But only in words and so few read my rhyme
Serious crimes against humanity in some Countries Worldwide
Where of basic human rights people are denied
...

Every Sunday she is in church praying and singing hymns to God
And in her prayers she asks her God to remember the hungry and the downtrod
And to take care of our soldiers who fight in an awful war
Against those awful people in a Land from here so far.

He is a big fellow who shouts in my ear
But 'tis not him I do fear but the fear
Of injury he might inflict on me too often the brave
Do end up sad to say in a premature grave
...

In many so called Democratic Countries Human Rights laws are being transgressed
And people due to their difference from others are imprisoned and oppressed
And suffer the worst forms of torture should we in silence stand idly by
For a wrong against any individual is a wrong against you and I.
...

With it you may well disagree and say it cannot be true
But a loss of Human Rights to some one else is a loss of Human Rights to me and you
They may be complete strangers and from us live far away
But by ignoring their lot those who abuse them we condone though that's not true you do say.
