Silence Is The Best Option Poem by Francis Duggan

Silence Is The Best Option

Rating: 1.5

He is a big fellow who shouts in my ear
But 'tis not him I do fear but the fear
Of injury he might inflict on me too often the brave
Do end up sad to say in a premature grave
At times discretion is the better sign of valour as some Are known to say
And in the face of danger a shut mouth might pay
And discretion in his case does surely apply
But why is he so angry with me I do wonder why?
Perhaps I remind him of someone he know
A person that he looks upon as a foe
A big ugly fellow with a gap in his front teeth
On our journey through life people like him we meet
For some reason he does not like the look of me
Silence is the best option for one such as he.
