in a world of my own
summers warm and inviting
A Friend, a brother, My secret untold
Nothing but my past and memories

harsh silence, alone in darkness
ruthless thoughts, all i know
no going back, not now not ever
nothing simple and nothing pure

Alone in a nightmare
Losing myself in a void
twenty-three silver slates
try not to blink, try again

Nights long and Dark
A light dull but there
to guide me to the end
trying to run, to hide

No more running
my walls are crumbling
secret revealed to the world
The weight is gone, here no more.
