You were dark with the greenest eyes
How could I tell you were full of lies?
You took me to your foreign land
On my ring finger you placed a gold band

The day Dad died, he died in pain
The sun shone, it should've been rain
I'd never see his face again
The past was gone with all the shame

Marry In Haste...

You were dark with the greenest eyes
How could I tell you were full of lies?
You took me to your foreign land
On my ring finger you placed a gold band

You were cruel to me & made me cry
I spent time wishing that you would die
Marry in haste, repent at leisure
Beating me up was your only pleasure

Then there were the women you plucked
I wished you all good luck
Rather them than me
Was how it came to be

A very short marriage
I felt I was caged
Thank God for divorce
It had all run it's course.
