My First

You may not have been my first love
But I pray you’re my last
You might not have been my first kiss
But one of yours is ten times better than all my past

You may not have the first hands I’ve ever held
But yours and mine intertwined together are the perfect fit
You might not have the first eyes I’ve ever stared into
But staring into yours has gotten me lost I must admit

You may not be the only girl I’ve dated named chelsie
But hearing yours brings me much joy
You may not have been the first to make me smile
But being yours makes me the luckiest boy!

You may not be my first in a couple things
But you definitely will in some
You are better than I could have dreamed
And between us the best is yet to come
