Richard Horton Poems

Father was a spotter,
Mother couldn’t dance,
My son is sharp,
And my sister’s in France,
...

I was talking to her mother,
She's not settled on a lover,
In and out of common lives,
Just like a fasion,
...

Joe Orton open on my desk,
Dylan playing in the background,
An unopened Bible,
A stolen guitar,
...

Ever felt no Love?
Ever felt you were too weak to Love?
Felt it change over night?
...

He's coming for me,
Debt,
To take me,
Love,
...

Modern Life Is Rubbish (The Railways)

Father was a spotter,
Mother couldn’t dance,
My son is sharp,
And my sister’s in France,

Picture Restoration,
Like a bollard,
A-Team or A-Plan,
Lets talk about Jimmy Bullard,

Tesco Corporation,
Art for no reason,
Makes perfect sense,
Art for salutation,
Cor what a bloody mess,

The Railways are here,
Big iron pig,
Electric not steam,
But no Anton Fig,

Eight sweet carriages,
Makes a world full of love,
Rest in peace,
My sweet little dove,
Cor what a bloody mess.

By Mark Cuttings a security monitor observer at the Tesco in Eastleigh
