True as the sun rises,
Promising as every dawn,
There is hope they say,
Look out further from your heart,
...

Fly little bird,
this world is yours!
Spread your shy wings and you'll see they weren't shy at all!
Magnificent and strong,
...

I dream, I do,
In the days with my eyes open,
In the nights with my eyes closed,
But dream I do!

A Story For Hope

True as the sun rises,
Promising as every dawn,
There is hope they say,
Look out further from your heart,
Turn around and pray faster, lighter from the truest part of your soul,
They say…fear not for there is hope in every step.
A sole belief that there was something called hope, I swore.
Then I stumbled into you, I really did.
There was longing in me, something stirred it did.
Days I waited, nights I prayed, for mine to be yours and yours to be mine.
It seemed that the Universe had indeed heard me..
Everything flew by, we were soon making promises,
Of a future forging our lives together, to rule as man and wife,
To put aside or jump high above all the walls, to love forever.
Too close they warned, trust not I heard their echoes, I chose to ignore..
How could they? Those who spoke of hope and instilled in me with all its beliefs…
Craven you are, I laughed; be wary of the heart’s treason child, they cried!
And there we were, the wars had begun just, death flying around us..
To you I looked for the courage, there was one strength that drove me to fight..
Your love taught me to believe, your words were all I needed,
Your face was my trophy, your heart my champion..
Fought hard I did, no one can lie, they saw me drive the darkness out with all his demons..
I will be back for you child, when your heart fails and when there is nothing but cry he swore…
Laughed on his face I did, the way I did when the wise prayers of hope warned me.
I waited for you, true as the black night and hard as the stony rock.
And break you did, when you yielded to our enemies.
You yielded to lies, you yielded to fear, you yielded to your demons.
Left me with a thousand great pieces of what it was my heart..
Did you forget the sweet nights of caress and fulfillment?
Were our loves so weak that you sought to give up?
What about our future that awaited?
The home? We will have, but not with us both.
The children? Many a number, but not from our blood.
Do you love me? I truly do, but look at the war, this was never meant to be..
Our families caught in between, do they bear the brunt of it? What of our promises?
Difficult you must not make, open your eyes and be true, are we to live in the midst of all this?
And then he left, my lover.. my heart on fire, consumed by tears and the cries begun..
Never did he turn back once, hope I wore on my chest despite my burning tears..
He will not return cried the darkness, his demons on tail, they smiled and closer they came.
And I, was alone. I picked up my sword and pointed it at him and said hope I still have.
He will not return child, for a man is no true man when he betrays his heart and runs in fear…
True he speaks I said to my burning heart, must I fight you now darkness?
One against a million of us? We are your coming years, fighting will not help..
Yield to us, as your cowardly lover yielded to your enemies..
Yield to us, for we were never enemies and never will be..
But I fought you! I braved against your demons.. this will never be!
True child.. as brave as ever can be, we are the test of all things brave..
And your lover failed to prove himself as the gallant man he claimed to be.
We are not demons, we are true shadows, we are the test of time.
To succeed, every woman and man must cross us and defeat us.
We honour the valiant, we salute the true braves..
What of you now, that your lover has deserted you?
You must brave your fears by yielding to us, fighting it will only kill you.
My burning heart, my dying soul, my wounded body..
They will all be healed, as you cross over with us child, there is a greater future.
What of hopes? What of the prayers?
Aye, true they are.. but you must cross child, time and darkness wait for none..
They take over whoever denies it, accept it and it shall heal your dying parts.
I yield, I yield, I yield, take me wherever, what cares do I have now that all has gone?
Hush child, this is but life, move on you must, as true as it is..
What will become of me? My dreams? My futures?
You must tend to your wounds first, we have cloaked you with our darkness..
This will be painful, yes it must pain, we will taunt you with memories,
We will show you dreams whilst in your slumber child, and cry you will..
For you have lost all the weapons, your champion and yourself..
And cry you must, pick up the pieces as you do, go back to hope..
And went back to hope I did, the darkness carried me like an ocean..
My fortress the song of hope, my honour the song of truth..
And healing I was, with my prayer of faith.
True as the sun rises,
Promising as every dawn,
There is hope they say,
Look out further from your heart,
Turn around and pray faster, lighter from the truest part of your soul,
They say…fear not for there is hope in every step.
A sole belief that there was something called hope, I swear.
