Rebecca Bekker Poems

1.

Pain, so much Pain
after the kicking and punching
the ignored cries
the broken skin
...

I am a child of God
I have a heart that beats
A brain that thinks
and eyes that see.
...

Looking through the dirty mirror,
I see someone looking back,
I do not recognize the look of desperation
And depression in her eyes.
...

For my past,
The circumstances that moulded me
Into being who I am.
I thank You
...

I forgive you for thinking I was strong
I forgive you for thinking we were alright,
We did not complain
For we saw no reason.
...

Take my heart
Take all of me
Do what you want
Just set me free
...

7.

The saddest moment,
Feeling the last of your caress
The months of longing,
Weeks of worries
...

The love you felt for me and mine
was reflected in thine eye
Unrequited and forgotten
It fell into darkness
...

Rape

Pain, so much Pain
after the kicking and punching
the ignored cries
the broken skin

Salt coursing down my broken body
over scratches
and soaking my already
saturated clothes
White turns Red

Light turns Dark
and my world ends
the teasing, the jeering,
the disgrace.
That is Rape.
