Talking To A Raspberry

What could be as queer,
As talking to a raspberry?
The simple thought,
Makes the mind stir
Makes the fingers tingle
Maybe even the heart skip
Such a strange idea
Yet somehow fitting
For this strange world
One would think,
What would you say,
To said raspberry?
Would you tell of your school or work?
Would you talk of friends?
Children? Wives?
Would you babble on like a running kettle?
Would you only say hello?
Asking of it's children and lives?
Such a interesting phenomenon
When your talking to a raspberry,
and the raspberry talks back.
