A Love So Dark

The deepest affections fall within the heart
The deepest of darkness of love to part
Yet it hurts like a shot at the centre of a dart
Transparent of lies through a cold heart

Cold as the winter, relaxed as summer
You make it difficult to find another
To be affectionate when not together
To have a kiss so long almost forever

Confused by your ridiculous pride
But never will I ever leave your side
Every moment we spend together is a wondrous ride
Our love, it's the only thing I would never hide

Lost in your eyes I can never be found
Nervous is what I become when you're around
With you next to me, I relentlessly stand my ground
Always and forever we will be bound
