You've Been Resurrected! Poem by Denis Martindale

Oh, please explain what happened, friend, once on the other side!
You thought that life came to an end, yet more was then supplied!
You met Lord Jesus! Tell us, please! Come on, what did He say?
Some call God's Son the Prince of Peace. What of your peace that day?

Did Christ review your life and more, decisions that you made,
Discussing every sin or flaw, or when you disobeyed?
Did you confess your guilt and shame? Did you repent enough?
Did Christ excuse you of all blame since He's the King of Love?

Did Jesus share some prophecy of future things to come?
Or sad events that soon must be, for millions, not just some?
Did Jesus promise miracles for many saints on Earth?
Just as Saint Peter's and Saint Paul's, much more than we deserve?

Did angels play their harps up there? Did other saints arrive?
Must you write books to sell or share now you've returned alive?
So many questions I would ask if I met Jesus Christ,
As soon as I could face that task when being so surprised.

I'd ask, why was I born so poor and stayed that way so long?
I'd ask the Lord to grant me more and hope that wasn't wrong!
I praise God for your ministry to bless Gentile and Jew,
Yet humbly ask, please pray for me, and I will pray for you.
