You're Not Here Poem by Zog Gascoigne

You're Not Here

Rating: 0.5

I sleep on your side of the bed now,
Burry my head in the pillow that still holds your scent,
Soon even that will fade, leaving me with only memories.

What use are memories made dim by grief?
Made to seem as if from another time, another life, another person,
A time when we were happy and free, the past was forgotten and the future didn't matter.

The past haunts me,
The future doesn't exist past tomorrow,
What can I say? You were my life, now I feel like a ghost,
Except im not, you're the one whose dead, not me,
Maybe one day I'll just fade away, you wouldn't want that,
What you would or wouldn't want doesn't really matter,
Your not here anymore,
You left me alone, forever.
