Your Words Decieve... Poem by beautiful imperfection

'I love you'
these words I find hard to believe,
so many people used these words,
only to decieve.
If only they could feel
all this pain inside,
and know its all because
to me they lied.
If only I could show them
what they've done to me,
make them wish,
they were blind and could not see.
These emotions sometimes
leave me overwhelmed,
I want to fly away
to a secret realm.
Sometimes these things in my life
make me contemplate
turning to the knife.
I know this isn't an answer,
it only causes more pain,
but what else can I do,
to get rid of all this rain?
So to anyone who has ever
said 'I love you' but lied,
think of me
and the tears I've cried.
People like you
make it hard for me to trust,
wearing my mask
is now forever a must.
So I just want to thank you
for screwing up my life,
making me cry
and causing me strife.
Thanks a lot
for feeding me those lies,
you even had the guts
to look me in the eyes.
You are a liar
and a disgrace,
You left my town, the place that I called home,
and didn't leave a trace.
Thank you...
for everything...
for never being there
through this sting...
I try to love and forgive you,
but look what that got me before,
if I ever see you again,
closed will be the door.
