Your Unawareness, My Agony Poem by Lin Kah Mun

Your Unawareness, My Agony

I reach out my hand
to catch you
but then
I caught nothing
but air
your images keep hunting me
today
I went to the garden
tomorrow
I wait for you in the garden
the day after tomorrow
I saw you in the garden
the following day
I saw a note
and read it
'meet me at the garden after school'
yet again
I saw you walking towards me
wishing you could embrace me
embrace my uncertainty
uncertainty of you
I'm waiting for you for so long
that my patient is lessen
day by day
month by month
year by year
can you see me
can you see that I'm falling apart
so long as I wish you would stay by my side
so long as you are unaware my feelings I would live with hurt
your unawareness is my agony
catch me when I'm falling
shield me when I'm being harm
light my way when I'm lost
kiss me when I'm feeling lonely
and love me when I'm feeling unwanted
